no licencing problem, eh ? Maybe I'm wrong ?
Anyway, I'm interested in it. Can you send it to me or put it somewhere please
?
If Sigurd is to supply this code to anyone other than himself or his
work he will be breach of the GPL. You can not legally combine GPLv2,
GPLv3 and PHP licensed code into a single work (or any combination of 2
of the above) and distribute it.
Based on knowledge gained through previous breach of GPL dealings I have
had with the FSF, it is not possible to distribute such code as a third
party module either as it depends on GPL code.
Under clause 8 of the GPLv3 your license can be revoked for breaching
the GPLv3. In the case of GPLv is it clause 4 which deals with this
issue.
As I suspected licensing issues with this code I advised Sigurd to start
with an audit, a suggestion he rejected.
If the application is gpl v2 - and I change it a tiny bit - it should be ok to post it somewhere for others to look at - right?Subject: Re: [phpGroupWare coordinators] felamimail
I have finished the port - and it is looking good and performing well.
Yes there are files in the egw-pear module that is php licensed - and those files are
crucial to connect to the IMAP-server.
Looks like I have to use it for my own amusement - if it isn't possible to have it as a
third-party-ported-module or something.

Maybe others have the time and resources to sort out the concerns.
